Camelbak Drying Hanger

Dry your water bag completely and quickly with the water bag drying hanger. This dryer keeps its water bag open so that it dries completely quickly; the best to avoid bad odor and mold.

Cleaning the water bag and tube:

The best way to care for your water bladder is to clean and dry it after each use, especially if you refill the bladder with liquids other than water. If the bag has not been cleaned after each use and has become moldy or discolored:

1. Use hot water and a CamelBak cleaning tablet. (Or use two tablespoons of baking soda or bleach instead of CamelBak cleaning tablet.) Mix the solution into the bag and lift it over the tubing and Big Bite valve. Squeeze the bite valve to allow the solution to flow into the drinking tube and fill the bite valve.
2. Let the cleaning solution sit in the water bag and drinking tube for about thirty minutes.
3. Wash the water bag with hot water and neutral soap. Be sure to rinse the water bag completely to remove the solution from the bag and drinking tube before using it again. You can also use CamelBak brushes from our cleaning kit to scrub the water bag and drinking tube. Using brushes is the best way to ensure cleanliness of all parts of the water bag.
4. Once the water bag is clean, be sure to let it air dry overnight so that no moisture remains inside the bag as it can cause mold to grow.

These steps will make the water bag safe to use. If stains remain, these are permanent mold stains that may not be able to be removed. However, the water bag is safe to use and can be used after cleaning.
