The radical new look of our X-SYNC 2 Eagle is the direct result of SRAM drivetrain engineers studying the performance and wear characteristics of thousands of X-SYNC chainrings. We subjected all types of chainrings to countless environmental and mechanical torture, abuse and neglect, both in laboratory and real-world environments, to create a chainring that would increase the performance of the Eagle drive system in all conditions. The longer shape of the positive rake tooth has been designed to work perfectly with the new Eagle chain to increase chain retention and overall pedaling efficiency, while decreasing friction, noise and wear.
